About Ancaster Velo
Ancaster Velo offers a friendly environment for structured group road riding where cyclists can improve their cycling skills and fitness, and enjoy cycling by associating with other cyclists. We have rides for almost everyone including easy paced, mid-paced and fast-paced group rides.
During cycling season (May to October), we offer two weeknight rides as well as two weekend rides. Start times vary depending on sunlight and temperatures so check the RIDES page for exact start times.
We use quieter and the less traveled roads in the area from Smithville in the East; Paris, Ayr and Cambridge in the West and to the Campellville area in the north. A route map and cue sheet will be available through the Ancaster Velo Ride with GPS (RWGPS) Club Account.
OUR MISSION
To promote and encourage cycling in Ancaster and the surrounding area by organizing structured group cycling rides where cyclists can improve their cycling skills and enjoy cycling by associating with other cyclists.
The Club shall affiliate with the Ontario Cycling Association as a non-competitive cycling club.

Learn from experienced riders in a comfortable, non-competitive environment. Ride leaders provide guidance and direction along with safety tips to help make your introduction to group riding a safe and rewarding experience.
Age Requirement

Although we encourage participants of all ages, members under the age of 18 MUST be accompaniend on ALL rides or any other Club activities by a parent who is a member, or by another parent-designated adult member.

Ancaster Velo Membership

Membership includes all club rides and events as well as discounts at local bike shops (see below).
Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) Membership
$42
Already an OCA Member?
Just join the Ancaster Velo Club. Only one OCA membership/license is required.
Ancaster Velo uses Cycle Component Network (CCN) for registration and Ontario Cycling Association (OCA) insurance.
You will be redirected to the CCN site to register and pay. A small processing fee will be charged.
